Mo Ostin wants an album that will appeal to this new audience and brings in veteran producer Richard Perry. Ray loved Leon Russell’s “A Song For You”, and Ray’s version won a Grammy Award for “Best Rhythm & Blues Vocal Performance”. About Paul Simon’s “Still Crazy After All These Years” Ray told writer David Ritz, “Still Crazy fit me fine, especially the part that says, ‘I’m not the kind of man who tends to socialize/I seem to lean on old familiar ways.’ That’s me.”
