წმიდა ფავსტა, ევილასი და მაქსიმე
19 თებერვალს (ძვ. სტ 6 თებერვალს) ქრისტეს ეკლესია აღნიშნავს:წმიდა ფავსტა, ევილასი და მაქსიმეს ხსენების დღეს!
ქალწულმოწამე ფავსტა, და მასთან ერთად ევილასი და მაქსიმე ეწამნენ დიოკლეტიანეს დროს, დევნილობისას ქალაქ კვიზიკში (მიზია), 305-311 წლებს შორის.
ფავსტა, ღვთისმოშიში ქრისტიანების შვილი იყო, ადრე დაობლებულმა ღვთისთვის სათნო ცხოვრებით იცხოვრა. ქრისტიანი ქალწული დაასმინეს მმართველთან. მანაც 80 წლის ქურუმი გააგზავნა ევილასი, ფავსტის ჭეშმარიტი სარწმუნოებიდან შესაცდენად. წმიდანმა ქრისტე აღიარა , რისთვისაც იგი ამისთვის დასაჯეს და ხის ყუთში ჩასვეს. მტარვალები ქანცის გაწყვეტამდე ცდილობდნენ გაეხერხათ, ან ცეცხლში დაეწვათ ყუთში გამოკეტილი მარტვილი, მაგრამ ვერაფერს გახდნენ: არა მხოლოდ ქალწული, ღვთის მადლით დაცული ყუთიც უვნებელი რჩებოდა. ქურუმი ევილასი გააოცა ღვთის მადლის ასეთმა გამოვლინებამ, ირწმუნა და უშიშრად აღიარა ქრისტე.
ამ ამბის გამოძიება მეფემ ეპარქ მაქსიმეს დაავალა, რომელმაც ახლად გაქრისტიანებული მოხუცის წამებას შეუდგა .ფავსტას სთხოვა ევილასმა , ელოცა მისთვის, შემდეგ კი სრულიად მოითმინა სატანჯველები. წმიდა ფავსტა მხეცებს დაუგდეს დასაგლეჯად, მაგრამ მათ პირი არ დააკარეს მოწამეს. მაშინ მარტვილები მდუღარე წყალში ჩააგდეს, მოწამეები კვლავ უვნებლად რჩებოდნენ და ლოცულობდნენ ჯალათებისთვის.
წმიდანების სარწმუნოებითა და დათმენით გაოცებულმა მაქსიმემ შესთხოვა უფალს,მოწყალე თვალით მოეხედა მისთვისაც . უეცრად გაიხსნა ეპარქმა დაინახა იესო ქრისტე ანგელოზებთან, მთავარანგელოზებთან და სხვა წმიდანებთან ერთად. ამ საოცარი ჩვენებით შეძრწუნებულმა ხმამაღლა ღაღადჰყო: „უფალო, მიიღე ჩემი სულიც’’, გაიქცა ცეცხლზე შემოდგმული ქვაბისკენ, რომელშიც ცოტა ხნის წინ მისივე ბრძანებით ჩაყარეს წმიდა მარტვილები და შიგ გადაეშვა. ზეციდან გაისმა: „მოვედით ჩემდა ყოველნი მაშვრალნი და ტვირთმძიმენი და მე განგისუენო თქუენ!’’ და ამ მოწოდებით გამხნევებულმა და სიხარულით აღვსილმა ტარიგებმა უფალს შეჰვედრეს სული.
