ბავშვობაში, ალბათ ყველას გვქონია სურვილი ხეზე სახლი გვქონდა. პიტერ ბაჰოუთმა ეს ოცნება რეალობად აქცია, ბუნების მოყვარულმა არქიტექტორმა ააშენა ხის ულამაზესი კოტეჯები, რომლებიც ერთმანეთს ხიდით დაუკავშირა.
პიტერის თქმით, ყველა ბავშვს შეუძლია ხეზე სახლის აგება, სადაც ის სიმყუდროვეს შეიქმნის, ითამაშებს და დაისვენებს თავის გემოზე. ეს იქნება მისი ტერიტორია და იმოქმედებს მისი წესები, არავინ ეტყვის თუ რა უნდა გააკეთოს და რა არა. ზრდასრულებისათვის კი, სახლის აგება შესაძლებლობების გამოყენებაა და არა არქიტექტურული ნიჭი - უბრალოდ ოცნების განხორციელება!
ეს სახლი ატლანტაში მდებარეობს. პიტერი ექვსი თვე ქმნიდა კოტეჯის ნახაზს და ადგენდა დიზაინს, აშენებას კი ექვსი კვირა დასჭირდა. სახლი შედგება სამი ნაწილისაგან: საძინებელი, მისაღები და სამზარეულო.
