სახლის აშენების ერთადერთი მიზანი ჯონ ტოლკინის პერსონალური მუზეუმის შექმნა იყო. მისმა ერთგულმა ფანმა ამ მუზეუმში განათავსა 30 წლის განმავლობაში შეგროვებული ტოლკინის იშვიათი წიგნები და რელიქვიები.
