Olympic National Park ან ზუსტ სახელს მერე მოუფიქრებენ
დიახ, ორივე დასახელება სწორია, და უფრო მეტადაც ერქვა აქაურობას, უბრალოდ შეერთებული შტატების ნაციონალურ პარკთა სიაში, სხვა მრავალიც მოიძებნება და მხოლოდ ამას ვერ ვუწოდებდი. დღეს ოლიმპის (ოლიმპიურ) პარკში ვიმოგზაუროთ.
მდებარეობს ამერიკის დედაქალაქში - ვაშინგტონის შტატში, ოლიმპიურ ნახევარკუნძულზე. შედგება ოთხი "თემატური" ნაწილიგან - ოკიანური პარკი, სამთო აყლაყუდა ადგილები, დასავლეთ ნაწილში ნესტიანი პარკი და აღმოსავლეთშიშ ედარებით მშრალი ტენიანობის სანახები.
ყოველივე ამას საფუძვენი 1909 წელს, რუზველტმა ჩაუყარა, ოღონდ უფროსმა - თეოდორემ, მაგრამ მაშინ ნაციონალური პარკის იდეას არ ატარებდა. 1932 წელს ამ ტიტულით (ნაციონალური პარკი, დაცული ტერიტორია) ფრანკლინ რუზველტმა შემაკო. 1976 წელს გადაკეთდა საერთაშორისო ბიოსფერულ ნაკრძალად, 1981 წელს მსოფლიო მემკვიდრეობის ადგილად იწოდა, ხოლო დღეს უკვე, 1988 წელს, კონგრესის 98%_იანი მხარდაჭერით გასული სახელით მოიხსენიება - ოლიმპიური უკაცრიელობა (Olympic Wilderness).
