კრისტალური მდინარე

მდინარე, რომელიც მრავალი ტურისტის თვალსა და გულს იპყრობს მდებარეობს კულუმბიაში. მდინარეს კანიო კრისტალესს უწოდებენ. მისი  ტოტები მოედინება ცენტრალურ კოლუმბიაში – მეტას დეპარტამენტში, მთათა სისტემა მაკარენაზე.


მდინარე ცნობილია თავისი ცვალებადი ფერებით, რაც განპირობებულია მასში არსებული სხვადასხვა წყალმცენარეებით. ამ საოცრებას მნახველები  “ხუთი ფერის მდინარესა” და "თხევად ცისარტყელას" უწოდებენ.

სეზონის მიხედვით ფერთა სიმკვეთრე იცვლება – ხან იზრდება, ხან კლებულობს. ზაფხულში მზე ახმობს მცენარეს. ამის გამო მდინარე ხასხასა წითელ შეფერილობას იღებს.

ამ საოცრების სანახავად, ივნისიდან ნოემბრის ჩათვლით, უამრავი ტურისტი სტუმრობს კოლუმბიას. ნატურალისტების მიერ ჩატარებული გამოკვლევის თანახმად, კანიო კრისტალესი იმდენად სუფთაა, რომ  მისი წყალი პრაქტიკულად დისტილირებულია.


კანიო კრისტალესს იუნესკოს მსოფლიო მემკვიდრეობის ფონდი იცავს. მდინარე აერთიანებს და ერთად კრეფს ხუთ ფერს: ყვითელს, ლურჯს, მწვანეს, წითელსა და შავს.
