გუშინ გამართულ სინოდის სხდომას დიდი მოლოდინი ჰქონდა, მითუფრო რომ აქტუალური თემების განხილვა უნდა მომხდარიყო. ტრადიციულად, სხდომა დღის თორმეტ საათზე დაიწყო და დაახლოებით, ორი საათის განმავლობაში გრძელდებოდა. სხდომის ოქმი, მხოლოდ რამდენიმე წუთის წინ გამოქვეყნდა.
